Description
The most renowned of the Bach sons was Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach, whose compositional output centered on a substantial body of keyboard works. This final volume in Henle's three-part anthology of his piano sonatas features 11 sonatas composed between 1760 and 1783, with three appearing in print for the first time. Moreover, the volume incorporates numerous performance instructions from C.P.E. Bach's influential treatise "Essay on the True Art of Playing the Keyboard," including a comprehensive table detailing the proper execution of the most important ornament signs.
