Mozart: Concerto No. 20 in D minor K. 466 (2 Pianos)

RM 121.50

Description

Mozart significantly advanced the modern piano concerto form, which began to align with sonata structure around 1750, through his 21 concertos for solo piano and orchestra. Among these, the D minor piano concerto K.466 stands out as one of the few that remained in the concert repertoire after Mozart's death. While other concertos were later revived, K.466 emerged as the most beloved of his works in this category, and it is rare to find a pianist who has not either studied or performed it in concert. The Urtext of the New Mozart Edition offers a full score, performance materials (BA4873), a two-piano reduction (BA4873-90), and a study score format measuring 22.5 x 16.5 cm (TP147), all available for purchase.
