G. Henle Verlag presents Frédéric Chopin's Fantaisie-Impromptu in C-sharp minor as a new Urtext separate edition. This romantic piano work is among Chopin's most popular compositions. The piece features stormy, iridescent cascades of sound produced by refined rhythms that surround a hymn-like melody in the middle section. It's no surprise that Chopin fans often rhapsodize over this "ear-worm" of a piece.

What is surprising, however, is that the Fantaisie-Impromptu was left untitled in the source materials and not published until after the composer's death. Additionally, there are two distinct versions of the work, which this Urtext edition prints side-by-side to facilitate comparison.
