Description
To celebrate the 150th anniversary of Claude Debussy's birth in 2012, we are proud to present a three-volume tribute to his piano solo works, available in both paperback and hardcover editions. As a publishing house focused on piano music, we felt it was important to give special attention to the innovative works of this seminal composer. Over the past few decades, we have steadily published Urtext editions of Debussy's major piano compositions, in close collaboration with the renowned Debussy scholar François Lesure. Edited by Ernst-Günter Heinemann, these volumes span Debussy's output, from the early "Danse bohémienne" to the Prélude from "La Damoiselle élue," which is included as a special encore in Volume I. Each book showcases both the well-known masterpieces and lesser-known gems of Debussy's distinctive piano style. Additionally, the volumes feature a helpful glossary translating Debussy's evocative performance markings into English and German.
