Description
A selection of individual keyboard suites by Bach has survived, in addition to the major cycles such as the partitas and the French and English suites. This collection includes standalone sonatas or movements, variations, and various fragments known as Capriccios. These works did not achieve the same level of acclaim as the larger collections mentioned earlier. Most of them originate from Bach's formative years, specifically between 1700 and 1710, and do not exhibit the same level of mastery found in his later compositions. Nevertheless, the immense pleasure derived from performing these pieces compensates for this lack of technical sophistication.
