Today, the three violin concertos (BWV 1041–3) hold a permanent place in the concert repertory and are among Johann Sebastian Bach's most well-known and well-liked instrumental compositions.
The New Bach Edition serves as the foundation for this Urtextedition. An Urtext solo part and a solo part featuring bowing, fingering, and performance commentary by Andrew Manze are included in the updated Violin and Piano reduction.
