Description
Based on the highly regarded New Bach Edition, Bärenreiter released a newly engraved piano reduction and solo parts for this concerto in 2001.
The current enlarged edition goes one step further by including two extra solo violin parts with fingerings and bowings by baroque expert Andrew Manze in addition to the two parts found in the New Bach Edition.
Additionally, Manze provides players with insightful commentary (in both English and German) on historical performance methods that cover a wide range of topics, including shifting, bowing, fingerings, open string usage, and how the instrument was held.
