The Viola Mix series offers a collection of new arrangements for viola, catering to players at Grades 1 to 2 levels. Book 2 presents an attractive repertoire spanning a wide variety of musical styles, including well-known pieces like 'La donna e` mobile' from Rigoletto and 'The Hippopotamus' by Flanders and Swann. Alongside these classics, the book also features newly composed works, such as 'Pierrot and Pierrette' by Amy Beach and the traditional Ghanaian song 'Senwa dedende', providing students with fresh material to explore.

The series has been carefully curated by string specialists Kathy and David Blackwell, covering the musical and technical elements of the early grades across three progressive volumes. Many of the arrangements are included in the ABRSM Viola syllabus from 2024, making the series an excellent choice for Performance Grade exams.
