Description

To celebrate Gidon Kremer's 70th birthday, G. Henle Publishers is releasing a special edition of Beethoven's Violin Concerto in collaboration with the Kronberg Academy. This edition includes two parts: the piano score and violin part without annotations (also available as HN 326), as well as "The Kremer Part" featuring Kremer's own fingerings and bowings.

The publication also features an essay by Kremer titled "Searching for Ludwig" that explores recordings of the Beethoven Concerto. Additionally, it includes the first-ever publication of a first-movement cadenza composed by Victor Kissine, which Kremer has performed numerous times, scored for solo violin with wind and percussion accompaniment. Performance materials for this cadenza, including the score and piano reduction, are also provided.

Rounding out this exceptional Urtext edition is a foreword by Friedemann Eichhorn. Congratulations, Maestro Kremer, on this wonderful celebration of your artistry!
