Description
Franz Schubert's piano works are a core part of pianists' repertoire, and Henle's catalogue contains almost all of his piano compositions. This volume features some of Schubert's most frequently performed piano pieces: the two sets of four Impromptus (D 899 and D 935), as well as the six Moments Musicaux (D 780). This Henle edition was first published in 1948, the year the publishing house was founded, with fingerings provided by the renowned pianist Walter Gieseking. You can listen to Gieseking's own recordings of these Schubert works on the Henle Blog.
