Description
When Günter Henle founded his Urtext publishing company in 1948, he began his catalogue with a two-volume edition (HN 1 and HN 2) of Mozart's 18 piano sonatas. These seminal works remain a core part of every pianist's repertoire. Over the decades, both volumes have undergone multiple revisions to align with the latest scholarly research. The editor's preface and critical report provide comprehensive details on all source materials and textual issues.
Previously, HN 1 and HN 2 included fingerings, but we now present both volumes without fingerings, allowing pianists to discover their own interpretive approaches to Mozart's piano oeuvre.
