Description
Oskar Rieding (1840–1918) is widely recognized among violinists and educators for his accessible concertos designed for novice players. His compositions, intended for instructional purposes, are not only easy to learn but also aesthetically pleasing and captivating.
The Rondo, originally the third of four simple performance pieces in a collection for violin and piano (Op. 22), stands out as one of Rieding's most beloved and frequently performed works in beginner violin instruction. As the leader of the orchestra at the Budapest opera house, Rieding's operatic background is evident in this composition.
This edition is included in the new Schott Student Edition series, which provides a diverse range of literature across five levels of difficulty, from 1 (easy) to 5 (difficult), tailored for instrumental education.
