In late 1791, Mozart composed his renowned piece the Concerto for "Bassettklarinette" and Orchestra K.622, now commonly referred to as his Clarinet Concerto. The demanding virtuoso composition was composed for Anton Stadler, and it adheres to the three-part format of Allegro, Adagio, and a Rondo conclusion.
This piece was initially released in 1801 and by at least three different publishers. It is among the most significant pieces in the Clarinet repertoire and continues to be a favored work today.
