Description
Brahms' Hungarian Dances showcase brilliant, spirited virtuosity, while his 16 Waltzes op. 39 are more modest and intimate in character. Yet the Waltzes are equally haunting - the gently rocking melody of No. 15 is one of Brahms' most recognizable musical ideas.
Recognizing the success of the Waltzes, Brahms' publisher soon after their 1866 publication for piano four hands requested a version for solo piano. We are now publishing this revised solo piano edition, based on the Brahms Complete Edition's musical text.
