Zdenek Fibich (1850-1900) was a renowned Czech composer in his time, heavily influenced by Schumann, Liszt and Wagner, though he is little known today. His most captivating piano works are the 376 highly distinctive miniatures in his collection "Moods, Impressions and Souvenirs," dedicated to his mistress. This album features 26 of the more accessible pieces from that extensive set, along with two additional works.
