Each one of Bach's six Partitas highlights seven incredible single developments, transcendently within the grouping:
Präludium – Allemande – Courante – Sarabande – [two free dances]– Gigue. These partitas can reasonably be depicted as Bach's "extreme" cycle of suites. As respects the aesthetic and manual requests, it goes remote past its "English" and "French" kin that are too habitually played.
