Edward Elgar is primarily celebrated for his remarkable compositions, yet he also served as a violin instructor during his lifetime.

These six brief studies are arranged in a progressive sequence of increasing didactic complexity and, despite their straightforward nature, possess significant musicality. They can be performed in the first position but necessitate familiarity with all fingering patterns. The pieces are composed in C major, A minor, and G major, featuring occasional modulations.
