Description
Sergei Rachmaninoff composed his second book of Préludes, op. 32, during the summer of 1910 at his family's serene country estate in Ivanovka. This tranquil, rural setting inspired the composer to create the lovely, Impressionistic G-major Prélude, which, while not overly challenging, is suitable for advanced amateur pianists. Thanks to the Glinka Archive in Moscow's collaboration, all autograph sources were consulted for this Henle Urtext edition of the Préludes. As with our other Rachmaninoff publications, the fingerings are provided by renowned pianist Marc-André Hamelin.
