Description
Schubert's absolutely lovely Rondo in A major for Solo Violin and Strings is a perfect addition to Bärenreiter's renditions of the violin and piano pieces based on the Urtext of the 'New Schubert Edition'. The 1816 composition, The Rondo, is a single movement that features both lyrical and virtuoso solo parts. It can be played with a bigger string ensemble or just one string.
Michael Kube, a Schubert expert and the arranger of the piano reduction, provides an insightful introduction (in German and English) to our new edition.
The 'fresh Schubert Edition' is a fresh edition of Schubert's maybe most endearing violin composition.
