Description
The Flex-Ability series caters to a variety of ensemble configurations, including solos, duets, trios, quartets, and larger groups, encompassing woodwinds, brass, strings, percussion, and an optional rhythm section. It features an optional play-along CD and is designed to be accessible for musicians of all skill levels, providing enjoyment at home, in educational settings, or within the community.
The Four-Line Score consists of four distinct lines: the first line presents the melody at an intermediate level of 2 ½ to 3, incorporating sixteenth-note patterns and rock/jazz syncopation. The second line offers harmony at a level of 2 to 2 ½, featuring a broad range and easy syncopation with sixteenth notes. The third line provides harmony at a level of 1 ½, with a limited range and dotted rhythms, including some eighth-quarter-eighth syncopation. The fourth line, designated for bass, is at a level of 1, characterized by a narrow range and simple eighth-note rhythms, along with alternate note suggestions.
The accompanying CD is sold separately and contains two tracks for each piece: a performance track that showcases the complete demonstration and an accompaniment track featuring only the rhythm section, allowing for play-along opportunities in various ensemble settings. Featured titles include "Alegria," "American Idiot," "Because of You," "Boulevard of Broken Dreams," "Gonna Fly Now," "Hedwig's Theme," "Hips Don't Lie," "Jumpin' Jack Flash," "The New Girl in Town," "We Are Family," and "Wonka's Welcome Song."
