Description

The musical text for this study score is derived from Henle’s revised edition of Part I, released in 1997, alongside Yo Tomita’s recent revision of Part II, published in the spring of 2007. The distinguished Bach scholar Tomita provides an in-depth discussion of the complex source issues pertaining to Part II in a comprehensive preface. Additionally, a thorough commentary complements the edition. Both sections of the Well-Tempered Clavier are also offered as Henle Urtext editions, available with and without fingerings (HN 16 and HN 1016).
