This edition, curated by renowned cellist Steven Isserlis and Saint-Saëns expert Sabina Teller Ratner, presents a diverse and captivating collection for Solo Cello with Piano Accompaniment. Featured are some of Saint-Saëns' most cherished compositions, including Allegro Appassionato and Le Cygne, as well as the previously unpublished Gavotte.
In preparing this edition, primary sources were thoroughly examined, and it includes performance notes by Steven Isserlis along with a comprehensive introduction. Additionally, the solo cello part is provided on a separate insert.
