Description
This edition of Harpsichord Music encompasses the three volumes by Jean-Philippe Rameau: Livre de Pièces de clavecin, Pièces de Clavessin, and Nouvelle suite de Pièces de clavecin. The second and third volumes are each divided into two parts, resulting in a total performance duration of 2 hours and 10 minutes—22 minutes for the first volume, followed by 52 and 53 minutes for the subsequent ones. Aimed at upper intermediate players and above, this collection showcases the baroque style characteristic of Rameau (1683-1764), a prominent composer of his time who succeeded Lully as the leading figure in opera composition.
