Description
Mozart's piano output includes 18 sonatas and 23 concertos, but only one sonata (K. 283) is in the rewarding key of G major. This sonata was likely composed in Munich in early 1775 as part of the set K. 279–284, and it remains a favorite among teachers and students. While not overly technically demanding, the sonata's Presto (!) finale, when played at the proper tempo, rarely fails to have its desired effect.
