Description

Rio Toccata is a thrilling, modern composition consisting of 8 pages, intended to be performed in a "Driving and bright" style. It incorporates shifting accents, diverse touches, a range of loud and soft dynamics, and extensive use of the keyboard. In the middle section, the pianist plays in a "cantabile" style, with the left hand carrying the melodic line. This piece serves as a dramatic display of the pianist's diverse skills. It has been selected for the Federation Festivals from 2016 to 2020, as well as from 2020 to 2024.
