Accidentals are present throughout the composition. The initial eight measures convey a sense of a confident march, possibly illustrating astronauts striding proudly towards their spacecraft. The application of the damper pedal aids in producing the sensation of floating in space during measures 9-16. This segment offers chances for maneuvering across the keyboard with a recurring whole-tone pattern shared between the hands. The march is then reiterated, followed by a Coda that concludes the solo with style.
