In 1795, Thomas Attwood - a former student of Mozart - published a set of four sonatinas intended as lessons for "Young Beginners on the PianoForte or Harpsichord." These short, tuneful, and easy-to-play compositions serve as an excellent introduction to the classical sonatina form.
