A box of 45 RPM records is cause for celebration as the whole gang gets ready to "Rock Around the Shop Tonight!" It becomes clear that most of the newly discovered "leftovers" are still hot gift items, so a special news bulletin is announced from WXMAS News, where Santa tells children to stop sending Christmas lists. Instead, he wants letters from them explaining how they've been good this year! A special "letter writing" scene follows, as children sing "Santa, Be Good to Me."
