With no extremes at either end of the instrument and no need for alternate fingerings, this lovely set of five pieces was thoughtfully composed for young players. The compositions are enjoyable to play and effective when performed; they call for deliberate intonation, clear articulation, a lovely tone, and good breath control.
Two contrasting pieces - a soulful Arioso and playful Humoreske - for young players who have gained some confidence in performing on their instrument.
