Suitable for early intermediate players (though intermediate students will also find it enjoyable), this composition in C major showcases a toccata-like style and sound. Structured in A-B-A form, the B section features syncopation and incorporates the harmonic interval of a sixth in the right-hand melody. The reprise of the A section culminates in a descending scale passage followed by unexpected chords at the conclusion.
