This edition is included in the Trinity syllabus for 2007 at grade 7.
This 1905 arrangement of the three-part compilation draws from Fritz Kreisler's original work and incorporates later piano transcriptions by Sergei Rachmaninoff, preserving the harmonies, chromaticism, and counterpoint of the piano versions. The fusion of the original and the transcription results in a virtuosic and compelling solo piece. The three-four time signature characteristic of Vienna allows for a degree of interpretative freedom in tempo, which is not easily captured by strict metronomic guidelines.
