First Position Etudes for Strings is designed for second-year string classes or orchestras. These etudes should be introduced once the group reaches Page 10 in Volume I of the String Builder, although they can also complement any standard string class method, as the book functions as a standalone resource for both group and individual instruction. The string parts are performed in unison alongside piano accompaniment, with each etude offering engaging material that targets specific technical skills for the left hand and bow arm. The publication includes parts for violin, viola, cello, bass, piano accompaniment, and a teacher's manual.
