Italian composer Francesco Paolo Tosti (1846-1916) created over 350 songs, which became favorites among renowned singers, ranging from Caruso and Tetrazzini in his era to Pavarotti and Carreras in our time. With a straightforward and elegant style, along with sensuous Italian vocal melodies, his compositions served as an artistic response to the Neapolitan folk tradition. This collection features 30 Tosti songs, presented for the first time in two different keys, offering excellent resources for teaching the fundamentals of classical singing as well as for performance on the recital stage. Additionally, it includes translations for study purposes, a biography of the composer, and a curated discography.
