Description

Lesson Book 3 offers a smooth progression from Book 2, presenting full chords and numerous chances for students to strum along as the instructor plays the melody. It introduces new concepts such as dotted quarter notes, hammer-ons and pull-offs, major and minor pentatonic scales, major key theory, major scales, power chords, palm muting, solo techniques, and music in Second Position. The music styles covered include popular, rock 'n' roll, blues, classical, global themes, and pieces from various historical periods. New features consist of Dotted Quarter Notes Through the Ages (complete with a timeline) and a National Anthem Suite. Additionally, many optional duets for teachers are provided, allowing students to also participate in playing the duet parts!
