Description

The "Violin Prep Test" is a new assessment designed to evaluate violinists who have been playing for a few terms. Effective from January 2001, this revised version contains everything students need to take the test, except for their "own choice piece." The test features specially composed tunes and pieces that enable pupils to practice and demonstrate important musical skills, such as pitch and rhythm awareness, controlled and even playing, accuracy, and tone quality. Presented in a "child-friendly" format with attractive layouts, entertaining illustrations, and a fun page, the test is written in accessible language to engage and assess young violinists.
