Students will easily envision a camel caravan traversing the desert at a leisurely pace under the moonlight while they execute this solo. Composed in A-B-A structure, the melody in the right hand and the accompaniment in the left hand predominantly remain in a C minor 5-finger position during the A section. The B section introduces blocked fifths in both hands transitioning to various positions. Both sections incorporate the same rhythmic motif, which contributes to establishing the mood and character of the piece.
