Description
The Summer Olympics of 2000, held in Sydney, Australia, served as the inspiration for this introductory piano solo. The local television network encouraged everyone to access the Internet for live event coverage. Their catchy slogan was, "You don't need a kangaroo, you only need a mouse." This phrase truly sparked my creativity, allowing me to envision a small mouse guiding children around the globe via their computers. Consequently, the lyrics for this composition were created. Students will find the words enjoyable and the melody straightforward to learn in this Middle C position solo. An optional accompaniment for teachers or parents enhances the harmonic depth and rhythmic vitality of the student solo.
