The two collections of piano duets featured in this volume rank among Dvořák's most celebrated works and are frequently performed within the piano four hands repertoire. The composer crafted these pieces as artistic interpretations of traditional Slavonic dances, including the furiant, dumka, polka, skočná, odzemek, and kolo.
