There has been a persistent demand among orchestras and educational institutions for a practical and readily available edition of the orchestral pieces featured in auditions. The material in this publication is informed by recommendations from the German Music Council and is supported by statistical research conducted by the Deutsche Orchestervereinigung e.V. (DOV), along with the extensive professional experience of the publishers, who are both orchestra musicians and university instructors. Additionally, a separately available CD includes the relevant excerpts from the works, featuring the instrument accompanied by the orchestra.
