Description
Bach's two-part Inventions are well-known to all piano students, but keyboard virtuosos regularly return to these ageless, exquisite, yet difficult pieces. What Bach was able to convey in just two pieces is astounding! The composer himself refers to the piece in his well-known preface as a "instruction" that teaches students and keyboard enthusiasts how to "treat correctly" a number of sections, "achieve a singing style in playing," and "acquire a strong foretaste of composition." Using all available sources, we are now offering a new edition of this timeless collection.
