Each arrangement is designed to be versatile, enabling string orchestras, mixed instrument groups, quartets, or trios to perform the melody, harmony, and bass parts. This flexibility allows musicians to engage with rock music by learning individual components, playing classic arrangements, crafting their own versions, or performing solo. Additionally, the arrangements cater to electric strings, with optional guitar, piano, and drumset parts.
The student book features a comprehensive two-page play-through of the melody, closely mirroring the original recordings and clearly delineating sections such as Intro, Verse, Chorus, Bridge, and Outro. Accompanying this are lead sheets for bass and harmony parts, along with a flow chart that aligns with the melody play-through. The teacher's book provides a full score and reproducible parts for piano and percussion, with guitar chords included throughout. For practice convenience, the accompanying CD offers two tracks for each song—a complete version and a backing track—along with TNT 2 software for adjusting instrument levels, pitch, tempo, and creating loops, facilitating ear training.
