Description
The Exploring Piano Classics series combines engaging performance pieces with comprehensive technical studies, offering a well-rounded approach to piano education. Each level features a Repertoire book accompanied by a CD and a Technique book, both of which are conveniently correlated page by page. When utilized together, these resources provide students with a profound understanding of musical artistry, performance techniques, and the essential skills required for proficient piano playing. The Technique books present a structured program for technical advancement, including fundamental keyboard patterns such as five-finger patterns, scales, cadences, and arpeggios in both major and minor keys, along with exercises, etudes, and other drills necessary for mastering the repertoire. Additionally, they offer practical suggestions for effective practice. Renowned clinician and educator Nancy Bachus, a graduate of the Eastman School of Music with a Master’s in Piano Performance and Literature, has showcased her talents through solo recitals across the United States, Canada, and Italy, and has participated in prestigious events like the original "Monster Concerts" at venues including Lincoln Center and the White House. She currently operates an independent teaching studio in Ohio.
