We have commenced with numbers 2 and 6; in the upcoming years, we will be releasing editions of all of Franz Liszt’s “Hungarian Rhapsodies,” which are renowned for their pianistic brilliance and are beloved by virtuosos. Throughout his life, Liszt drew inspiration from Hungarian folk music. The most notable example is the “Rhapsodies hongroises” for piano, which popularized the distinctive syncopated rhythms of the puszta melodies and the passionate spirit of the czardas on a global scale. The widespread appeal of these technically challenging piano pieces is evidenced by the numerous arrangements, including orchestral transcriptions.
