Description
Although Mozart was neither a flautist nor a harpist, his Double Concerto has become the best-known music for both these instruments. Henle's new edition, prepared by star flautist András Adorján, closely follows the autograph score, even in passages where other editions make arbitrary changes. Renowned musician Robert D. Levin has contributed historically convincing cadenzas as editorial suggestions, and experienced arranger Jan Philip Schulze has created a lean, euphonious piano reduction. Uniquely, this edition presents the harp part in the form of a performance score. This new volume completes Henle's series of up-to-date urtext editions of Mozart's surviving concertos and chamber music with flute.
