The publication 'Mein erstes Konzert' [My First Concert] features 22 accessible pieces suitable for lessons, initial recitals, or student competitions. This collection guides the musician through a diverse musical landscape spanning five historical periods, including the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and contemporary music. Notably, it includes a significant selection of popular music genres such as pop, jazz, spiritual, bossa nova, and tango, many of which have been specifically composed for this collection. Most pieces can be performed after approximately two years of instruction, all written in the first position and playable using four fingering patterns. For two compositions that require position playing, simpler alternatives are provided. Teachers can also add fingerings for position playing to enhance the tonal quality.
