Description
Composed in a "perpetual motion" style, the continuous sixteenth notes appear to be infinite in this "Presto con fuoco" piece intended for the more advanced student. It is performed at a rapid pace, yet maintains a "light" touch throughout most of the composition, and is characterized by a pronounced "marcato". The piece features a multitude of grace notes, with legato passages contrasting against staccato between the hands, extensive chromaticism, and various scale techniques across the entire keyboard.
