Description
Edvard Grieg's "Lyric Pieces" were a poetic piano diary, with the Norwegian composer penning 66 short character pieces between 1867 and 1901, published in ten books. Well-known works like "Wedding Day at Troldhaugen," "March of the dwarfs," and "To the spring" stand alongside simpler dances and melodies suitable for early piano students. Until now, only five individual books from the collection were available from Henle Publishers (HN 619, 627, 644, 681, 713), but this new collected volume contains the complete set, with fingerings provided by Norwegian pianist and Grieg specialist Einar Steen-Nøkleberg.
