Description
The grandeur of a sarabande is beautifully captured in this A minor solo. The left hand serves as an exemplary study of blocked chords, while the right-hand melody must consistently rise above these harmonies. Structured in A-B-A form, the left hand maintains its consistency, but the melody in the B section is presented an octave higher and features an embellished variation of the initial theme. The return to the A section is complemented by an eight-measure coda, culminating in a delightful dance reminiscent of the Baroque style.
