All 24 of Paganini's Contradanze Inglesi and Caprices are included for the first time in this big format book (25.5 x 32.5 cm).

Since their release in 1817, the Caprices have remained the defining milestone of violin skill. They are a cohesive collection of pieces that demand the highest level of technical proficiency.

The autograph and early prints from several European publishers served as the basis for Bärenreiter's scholarly-critical edition. This new edition differs from the numerous releases of the past 200 years that included modifications and additions by well-known violinists because the original beaming and articulation have been preserved.

This is the first publication of the 24 Contradanze Inglesi for solo violin, in addition to the intimidating Caprices. These straightforward works use a variety of methods and are each 16 measures long.
