Level 2 focuses on teaching you to perform with over 50 genuine blues and jazz beats and fills from renowned drummers such as Steve Jordan (The Blues Brothers), Chris Layton (Stevie Ray Vaughan), Max Roach (Miles Davis), Buddy Rich, among others. You will also acquire skills in playing double-stroke rolls, buzz rolls, the 9-stroke roll, accents, rim clicks, ghost notes, crescendos, and decrescendos. Additionally, you will grasp important concepts such as call and response, reading and executing cues, and improvisation. Throughout the book, tips, tools, and terminology are employed to introduce essential drumming concepts at an appropriate pace, and the accompanying audio CD features all the beats and fills discussed in the text.
